Barix Zone Paging Solution
THE SOLUTION
The Barix Zone Paging solution distributes music / info channels as well as live, prioritised announcements with high audio quality to a number of receivers / zones. By using standard network infrastructure (IP based), no proprietary cabling or distribution is required.
The solution supports a large number of concurrent background music channels, configurable priorities for the audio messages delivery, and up to 15 pre-configurable zones with a maximum of 128 receiving devices each.
The paging stations can select multiple target zones for live announcements, which can be even grouped together into larger areas. Paging overrides background music, which can be defined on a per-zone basis.
The receiving decoders, typically Barix Exstreamer devices, output the decoded audio signal either into an amplifier or directly into speakers (built-in amplifier for some models). No central server is needed for the system to operate. The network is the audio switching matrix. Any source can reach any destination.

The Barix Paging Zone solution can be used for music distribution, messaging and live announcement applications alike, from one source, one destination, to hundreds of paging stations, music channels and receivers (zones). Being fully IP routable, the network size is virtually unlimited. Using VPN connections, an installation can easily spread over a continent or the world.
